    What we're looking for:

    A marketing professional to build and set the strategic vision and marketing direction of the brand and its portfolio on a global scale. The Marketing Director is a future thinker who works to implement new ideas and concepts beyond the current day, while ensuring alignment with corporate goals and objectives. Working closely with cross functional teams and external vendors, the Marketing Director will elevate the marketing experience to the next level for accelerated business growth.

    What you'll be accountable for:

    Lead a team in building the marketing vision and strategic direction of the brand and its portfolio to become a well-recognized, trusted and desired brand within the industry.

    Lead the strategy and development of all marketing, communication and media plans, including: website, traditional/non-traditional media, industry, influencer and media outreach.

    Lead a team to create all communications and marketing content, to support website, packaging development, product catalogue, marketing collateral and public relations.

    Develop industry-leading website, communication and marketing materials to drive awareness while supporting our Business Development teams and customer-specific initiatives.

    Oversee marketing projects designed to address key insights, customer concerns and meet internal business and marketing objectives.

    Lead development of cutting-edge marketing materials from ideation to creation, in support of a defined strategy.

    Leads a team in developing portfolio & brand situation assessments, strategic growth plans and future roadmaps.

    Manages the marketing function of products from concept stages to market launch.

    Identifies whitespace opportunities for growth and delivers actionable insights from competitive and customer research.

    Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes.

    Applies understanding of marketing mix modeling and spend optimization opportunities/tactics, ensures plans and launches are validated and executed with excellence and on budget.

    Collaborates with internal teams on pricing and promo strategies while continually monitoring business performance to develop robust contingency plans, identifying opportunities and risks, building awareness, driving client retention and profitability, as well as cost savings.

    Liaise with suppliers of marketing materials, ensuring timely delivery to stores and/or distributors.

    Develop and maintain a preferred vendor list for outsourced projects.

    In addition, we need you to be a strong leader who can:

    Provide oversight of the Marketing team activities and sets department objectives, creating a world-class marketing team by building capabilities and development of direct reports, and acting as a culture-builder.

    Build and inspire strong employee engagement, mentoring and empowering team members.

    Conduct training regularly and coaches consistently to ensure employees are taught and can apply essential skills and knowledge to the performance of their daily activities with consistency and effectiveness.

    Create standard operating procedures and work instructions, ensuring staff are trained and held accountable to adhering to established work processes.

    Act as a liaison between the employer and workers for ensuring that staff remain current on company policies and procedures, along with compliance to all applicable health, safety and environmental guidelines.

    Establish and deliver Marketing metrics/measures and operating objectives ensuring functions are carried out with cost effectiveness and consistency with prescribed quality and performance standards.

    Take the appropriate steps to ensure employees are appropriately managed in a manner that maintains positive employee relations while achieving productivity goals in a manner that is quality and safety-oriented.

    Carry out a variety of performance management activities, including coaching for peak performance throughout the year and completing appraisals as required.

    Provide support and assistance to the Joint Health and Safety Committee as required to ensure hazards, deficiencies or improvement opportunities are promptly addressed or remediated.

    Participates in regular meetings as required, participates in various interdepartmental meetings to resolve issues and improve efficiencies as required.

    The credentials of our successful candidate will be:

    Post-secondary degree in Marketing or a related field required, an MBA is considered an asset.

    10+ years of progressive experience years' experience with at least 3 years in a Director-level, people management capacity.

    Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to a wide variety of audiences.

    Acts with passion and sense of urgency as a proven multi-tasker, with a self-motivated and efficient approach to driving a successful team.

    Leads by influencing others, building alignment, maintaining effective relationships, and communicating with effectiveness.

    Demonstrated accountability, integrity, flexibility, adaptability, and an entrepreneurial spirit.

    Demonstrated success in driving culture change in a positive direction.
