    Anatolia Tile & Stone is a leading importer and distributor of ceramic and stone tile and is a major supplier to some of the largest distributors throughout the United States and Canada. Based in Toronto, Anatolia Tile & Stone is a privately owned 100% Canadian corporation that is growing rapidly. Currently we are looking for eager, motivated VP of Finance to join our team on the day shiftPosition Summary

    The VP of Finance provides strategic direction, leadership and oversight for ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are supported in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. The successful candidate will provide leadership and coordination of company financial planning, debt financing, and budget management functions and ensure company accounting procedures and reporting conform to generally accepted accounting principles.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Financial Control Oversight

    Direct and coordinate financial planning and budget management functions, recommending benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance while monitoring and analyzing monthly operating results against budget

    Proactively seek opportunities to improve planning and reporting processes. Benchmark performance against industry peers with available information.

    Manage the accounting operations of the corporation, including, financial reporting of all entities, financial outlooks and forecasting, tax planning and compliance, GL management, legal compliance, internal controls, cash management (including AP, AR and Treasury), business partnership and approach across all entities

    Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions

    Ensure compliance with local, provincial/state, and federal (if any) budgetary reporting requirements

    Coordinate financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvement

    Prepare, on a timely basis, quarterly forecasting of financial results relative to the approved budget and previous quarters in addition to developing and assimilating processes that will enable accurate quarterly forecasting

    Manage internal financial and business reporting to provide management with timely and useful information to facilitate business decisions and drive business performance. Identify business, financial trends, and variances to plan

    Provide financial modeling, financial analysis, forecasting, and other ad-hoc financial projects

    Prepare and monitor the company's long-range strategic planning models and lead the company's annual strategic planning/budgeting and rolling forecasting processes

    Implementation of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis.

    Assist in preparing analysis, commentary and presentation material for monthly and quarterly financial review meetings

    Perform other duties as assigned

    Strategy Planning

    Create, build, develop and execute, together with the local management teams and in conjunction with head office guidelines, annual operations plan, and annual budgets at all company levels

    Develop business, financial and operational measurement tools and processes which will help monitor and track the AOP plan and related processes, and will lead to successful execution, including budget status and usage with no deviations, business unit P&L, gross margins, and general & administrative (G&A) allocations tracking

    Help build tools and systems for how financial information is distributed. Lead efforts to help define and evolve financial and operational metrics of the company

    Develop visibility tools to help reduce costs, grow revenues, and produce high-quality financial information.

    Using standard financial techniques and knowledge of the industry, provide analysis that identifies and answers key strategic issues within our business group

    Provide analytical perspectives to support important strategic decisions; articulate risks and opportunities and saturation/growth opportunity to leadership team

    Support management in evaluating financial and strategic impact of new business opportunities, including business development strategies, new product and service offerings, and technology solutions

    Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals and objectives

    Leadership People Management

    Represent the company externally to government agencies, auditors, and the general public

    Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate department staff

    Provide financial/business support and insight to the management team and support the different activities in terms of budgeting/reporting, supplier/customer agreements and negotiations, pricing, costing, quoting, projects

    Lead/enhance/mentor a business partner-oriented team focused on Financial Planning & Analysis, Business Support (e.g. compensation planning, business analysis) and Accounting support (e.g. revenue and commission accruals, etc.)

    Establish strong business partner relationships with segment and functional department heads, as well as executives, and financial sponsors

    Qualifications

    15 years of progressive financial leadership and reporting experience, with at least 5 years in a senior level role within a growing global organization

    Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA preferred, CPA designation required

    Strong business acumen and judgment in a ~$500M or larger revenue size company

    High level of proficiency in finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including GAAP, along with automated financial and accounting reporting systems

    Knowledge of financial regulations in multiple jurisdictions throughout North America and other global locations.

    Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing financial data and preparing financial reports, statements and projections

    Demonstrated ability to skillfully analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, analysis, and projections

    Proficient in driving short and long-term budgeting and forecasting, financial modeling, and rolling forecasts

    Strong results orientation and accountability with the ability to solve problems and execute in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

    Ability to leverage complex analytical tools and statistics to perform analysis and forecasting of financial and other business information; extensive modeling experience required

    Experience working with and presenting to senior leaders

    Strong cross-functional business systems, policy and process skills

    Effective at building relationships across and at all levels of the company, gaining cross-functional respect and alignment

    Ability to manage competing priorities effectively, making good decisions based on business priorities and objectives

    Knowledge of Adaptive Planning a plus

    Proactive, flexible, and able to drive and guide through rapid growth and scale

    Strong leadership, management and people skills to develop and grow teams
