    INTERNSHIP PROJECT DESCRIPTION

    If you are passionate about Technology, this will be an incredible experience for you! The Product Manager – Web intern will work alongside the Senior Product Manager over the Ancestry homepage. This internship is not just getting coffee and doing grunt work. You will deliver real customer value and build your portfolio.

    THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL DO….

    • Help come up with exciting new features for Ancestry’s web products, with a particular focus on our desktop and mobile web homepage.
    • Learn about industry trends and the latest designs to make sure Ancestry’s products continue to be the #1 tools for connecting families across the world.
    • Use Product Management tools to help drive the homepage roadmap and work directly with your Development & UX counterparts to see the new feature(s) come to life.

    TASKS & DELIVERABLES:

    • Brainstorm on core feature ideas for the web and mobile web homepage.
    • Identify customer needs, the business metrics we’re looking to move, and how we plan on accomplishing those goals (develop documentation)
    • Work directly with engineering and UX teams, participating in Agile development ceremonies to deliver shippable products.

    WHO YOU ARE:

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s or Ph.D. level degree
    • Must be currently enrolled in a university and graduating after Summer 2019
    • Must be passionately interested in Web Technology.
    • Well-organized and works great with other people & teams
    • Strong interest in DNA and family history
