    Job Description

    Ancestry seeks a highly motivated, internet-savvy Product Manager intern to join our Search team. The search team is responsible for helping our customers make meaningful discoveries about their families. Their goal is to make it simple and delightful to find relevant content, every time users search from our database of 20 billion records. Search is one of the main reasons our customers subscribe to Ancestry, and thus is a critical part of the business. As a Product Manager on the Search team, you will be leading a team of engineers, designers, and analysts to create valuable and delightful features for our customers.

    WHAT YOU’LL DO:

    • Create the vision for a search feature based on ongoing customer research, market/competitive analysis, and product performance
    • Write detailed business and technical requirements and use cases
    • Lead a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and analysts to successfully launch a product
    • Determine, align and deliver success metrics and reporting needs

    WHO YOU ARE:

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s or Ph.D. level degree (MBA or technical degrees preferred)
    • Must be currently enrolled in a university and graduating after Summer 2019
    • Incredibly smart, creative, driven, coupled with the emotional intelligence to navigate a large product organization to deliver amazing products quickly
    • Self-starter and able to work well with individuals at all levels and across functions
    • Driven to succeed by the company’s core mission to help people discover, preserve, and share their family history
    • Strong organizational skills coupled with highly effective communications skills (written and oral)
    • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
