    Internship Project Description  

    If you are passionate about defining and creating customer-facing features, this will be an incredible experience for you! You will work in a professional environment and have ample opportunity to network with department heads and other professionals within your discipline. The Innovation Product Intern intern will work with the Senior Product Manager of one of our application domains.

    We are seeking someone to take on the challenge of working on products in the early stages of product maturity specifically the conceptual and early beta products, and delivering an MVP experience to Ancestry customers. This role will specific work around products leveraging DNA as well as genotype and phenotype insights.

    Tasks & deliverables:

    • Create and execute a plan to identify user problems to solve, the business metrics were looking to move, and how we plan on accomplishing those goals.

    • Identify and execute a product learning plan including brainstorming, ideation, rapid prototyping and user feedback on core feature ideas.

    • Collaborate with cross functional partners on feature definition and execution

    • Identify a Minimum Viable Product and push it forward, specifically to get it user-tested for feedback and to identify next steps.

    • Use Product Management tools to help drive a feature road-map and work directly with your Development & UX counterparts to see the new feature(s) come to life.
