    Job Description

    Ancestry seeks a highly motivated, internet-savvy UX Design intern to join our Me Experience team. The Me Experience team is responsible for creating personalized experiences for our customers. They work to surface the most important and relevant discoveries that Ancestry has so that our customers can continue their journey of personal discovery. The Me Experience team works on things like our logged-in home page experience and the Ancestry DNA mobile app. As a UX Design Intern on the Me Experience 

    team you will help us continue to find the best way to deliver meaningful and impactful discoveries to our customers. This will include doing a little bit of everything from user interviews to understand what they feel is truly meaningful to creating designs for our app and the web to showcase these discoveries.

    WHAT YOU’LL DO:

    • Create designs for native mobile and web
    • Participate in user interviews
    • Participate in design sprints and other ideation exercises
    • Find innovative ways to help our customers with their journeys of personal discovery
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    WHO YOU ARE:

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s or Ph.D. level degree
    • Must be currently enrolled in a university and graduating after Summer 2019
    • Experience designing for multiple platforms (iOS, Android, and web)
    • A passion for understanding customer needs and designing solutions to those problems
    • Know how to use Sketch, InVision or similar design tools
