    Anchor TotalHR’s Executive Search Division, a boutique executive search firm specializing in the Hospitality sector, is proud to announce the formation of our Hospitality Task Force Division.  This newly created division will support hotel management companies who lack task force talent in Hotel Operations and Food & Beverage management roles. Due to the launching of this new division, we are seeking experienced Food & Beverage Professionals to serve as Task Force Food & Beverage Directors.  

    Job Description Summary:

    The Task Force Director of Food & Beverage will provide both short and long-term Operations Task Force coverage for full service properties.  The Task Force Director of Food & Beverage is responsible for overseeing the operation and staff of all food and beverage departments on property and to maintain the highest level of quality standards and efficiency. This individual is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the F&B department of the assigned hotel, receiving guidance and direction from the property GM and, as needed, Anchor’s Vice President of Hospitality Task Force Operations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Attend weekly Executive Committee & Department Head meetings or as scheduled

    • Communicate all banquet and event activity property-wide

    • Ensure staff under his/her supervision adhere to all company policies and procedures

    • Respond to guest needs in a timely fashion 

    • Ensure that implementation and maintenance of quality standards of food, beverage, and customer service are adhered to in all areas

    • Monitor and address that effective cost controls for food, beverage and labor are in place

    • Assist as needed with month-end inventory and food & beverage costing

    • Oversee hiring processes and training programs of food & beverage personnel

    • Responsible for taking corrective action and properly documenting unsatisfactory performance

    • Be prepared to assist as needed in any and all food & beverage areas

    • Perform any additional tasks as needed by the General Manager

    Qualifications: Education, knowledge, training, and work experience

    • Task Force Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the hospitality industry-branded experience preferred

    • Two years as a food and beverage director or assistant food and beverage director

    • Knowledge of point of sale, property management and sales/catering systems as needed

    • Ability to make quick decisions in high stress situations

    • Excellent customer service skills

    • Pleasant and positive personality

    • Supports staff and supervisory team through hands-on presence and leadership

    • This is a high travel role.
