    We are currently looking for a self-motivated bookkeeper to help manage the accounting and finance back-office operations of our clients’ businesses. Applicants must complete an application on our website (https://fixmybooks.org/jobs/).

    Accountabilities:

    • GROSS PROFIT GENERATION - Contribute gross profit as follows:
      • 1st month: $2,200
      • 2nd month: $3,000
      • 3rd month on: $3,300 or more
    • ONTIME DELIVERY - Financial statements are to be delivered to clients by the 15th of each month, except as dictated by the client
    • QUICKBOOKS ONLINE - Thorough understanding of QuickBooks Online and maintenance of current QuickBooks certifications
    • UTILIZATION RATE - Greater than 85 percent
    • TRAINING - Responsible for initial and ongoing training for new bookkeeping team members
    • DEVELOPMENT - Expected to pursue constant personal and professional improvement
    • COMMUNITY SERVICE - Spearhead the firm's quarterly community service efforts. Coordinate directly with Executive Directors of not-for-profits to setup dates and activiites and internal preparations.

    Primary Job Functions:

    • Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
    • Enter data, maintain records and prepare reports and financial statements
    • Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll promptly
    • Prepare, maintain, and close purchase orders
    • Process vendor and supplier invoices
    • Prepare and post journal entries
    • Prepare sales tax reports
    • GL account reconciliations
    • Prepare accrual entries
    • Internal and external special projects

    Skills:

    • 3 to 5 years of bookkeeping experience
    • Ability to handle multiple accounts at one time and remain organized without direct supervision
    • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
    • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
    • Proficiency in MS Office and Excel
    • Customer service orientated
    • Ability to negotiate for a positive outcome
    • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
    • Ability to work independently and with a team
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Must be fast-paced and be able to meet tight deadlines

    Requirements:

    • Associate’s Degree in a Business related field
    • Willing to become Quickbooks Certified within 3 months of employment

    Preferred:

    · Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting

    · Quickbooks Certified

    Work location: Work remotely or at a client’s offices
