    Job Description

    ATS INTERNATIONAL, a division of Anderson Trucking Service, is hiring an experienced INTERNATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER to join its team! The International Account Manager is responsible for revenue generation through business and sales development, client retention, and increasing the overall customer/client base within the ATS International organization. Responsible for identifying, securing, managing, and maintaining customers by contacting existing, inactive, and prospective clients to secure shipments that meet or exceed ATSI criteria. This is a full-time, U.S.-based position and may be located in Jacksonville, FL or Houston, TX. **May be open to remote, U.S. based candidates who possess international project freight forwarding sales experience.

    Education and Experience

    • Higher education (i.e., two- or four-year degree) preferred but not required.
    • Five or more year(s) experience in B2B international project freight forwarding sales required.
    • Established presence in the marketplace preferred.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a metrics and results driven approach.
    • Hard-worker with a drive for results who can persevere in the face of resistance or setbacks.
    • Strong work ethic, trustworthy and sense of integrity.
    • Creative in brainstorming and proposing new ideas and solutions to existing problems
    • Self-motivated, able to multi-task, and work with limited supervision.
    • Strong interpersonal, persuasive, organizational, and time management skills.
    • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, negotiations and customer service skills.
    • Ability to look for ways to improve and promote quality, meets productivity standards, and strives to increase efficiency.
    • General knowledge of geography and basic map reading.
    • Ability to cope with high work volumes in a fast-paced environment by demonstrating patience, professionalism, and positivity.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) required.
    • Excellent communication skills (written, listening and verbal).
    • Willing and able to travel as needed, including overnight travel.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Generate Revenue – Develop and manage a profitable book of business with a personal drive to exceed revenue goals each month. Act instinctively to achieve objectives without direct supervision.
    • Maintain and develop sales efforts through effective sales, marketing, and customer service strategies to meet or exceed established revenue, margin and productivity goals.
    • Generate Leads – Work independently to identify, develop and enhance sales opportunities in assigned territories. Generate and manage a detailed sales pipeline via CRM from prospect origination to valued long-term client. Develop a database of qualified leads through referrals, cold calls, business meetings, email, and networking.
    • Client Interaction – Demonstrate in-depth industry knowledge with the ability to identify, anticipate, understand and respond to client needs promptly. Utilize information to make relevant recommendations to win, maintain and develop client relationships.
    • Prospect for new clients using available database, social selling tools and techniques, and a consultative sales approach to build long-term relationships.
    • Respond timely to RFPs, bid solicitations, and transactional service requests.
    • Assemble and communicate customer scope of work requirements for pricing/planning group.
    • Assist & collaborate with pricing/planning group on development of operational plans and transport concepts.
    • Present quotes/indications in a timely and professional manner; solicit and communicate timely feedback.
    • Communicate with customer to assist in resolving service exceptions to ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Assist and advise with credit collection activities as needed.
    • Enter quote, booking and load requests into LME operating system as required.
    • Monitor & track loads within LME as needed/requested by client(s), following up with service vendors and carriers if required.
    • Maintain up-to-date account files by tracking, updating, and reporting information to ensure current and accurate information is available.
    • Utilize company's customer relationship management programs (TRAX & CIMS) as primary customer information database.
    • Submit all sales productivity reports as assigned in a timely and comprehensive manner.

    • Position may require work responsibilities outside of normal business hours and occasional overnight travel may be required.
