    The Professional Legal Administrator (PLA) of New Leaf Family / AndersonDodson, P.C. will support the firm’s team members to play their roles empowering our clients who are experiencing and navigating various types of conflict in their lives. This position is Virtual with occasional business travel for meetings in Golden, CO, and/or Athens, GA. The firm is a rapidly growing, mission-oriented, collaborative team that emphasizes a strong positive internal culture and consistently strives not only to assist our own clients with making the best decisions they can for themselves and their families but also to change how conflict resolution occurs in our legal system and world. The PLA, in close partnership with the law firm’s senior leadership, will administer numerous high-level business operations of the firm, including elements of operations, human resources, finance, technology, office administration, and others as required. Note: this role is NOT a traditional “Administrative” “Executive Assistant” or “Office Manager” position – please carefully read the description below. Candidates holding a PLA certification or relevant coursework will receive greater consideration. Responsibilities: • Manage Human Resources functions including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, terminations, disciplinary actions, payroll, bonuses, insurance, applicable state and federal laws, performance reviews, 401K, employee handbook, etc. • Administer, oversee, audit, and improve various law firm operations, including time entries, payments and collections, electronic billing, and common law firm documents • Suggest and in some cases implement systems and SOP improvements • Manage vendors and own those relationships • Serve as conduit/filter between Law Firm Owners / senior leadership, and the rest of the law firm staff Qualifications: • Experience working in a midsize law firm (15 – 50 lawyers, total staff of 40 – 160). Experience with Family Law Firms and/or Employment Law Firms is highly preferred • Experience working and leading a distributed, remote team • Background with management and operational details for both exempt and non-exempt staff • Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online (QBO), particularly in regard to reading and generating reports such as budgeting, projections, cash flow analysis, and analyzing profit and loss statements and understanding what they mean in the context of the firm’s operations • General knowledge of accounting systems and procedures • Knowledge of basic law firm operations, including time entries, payments and collections, electronic billing, and common law firm documents • Excellent skills on computers (Mac or Windows) and with basic office software such as Word and Excel • Familiarity with Case Management Systems (CMS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems • Superior Project Management planning and execution • Facilities/office management experience • Exceptional Calendar Management Personal Traits: • Can-do, independent attitude, and “the buck stops here” mentality • Able to effectively communicate with all internal and external parties • Excellent written and verbal communication • Able to navigate friction and sometimes emotional clients or team members; adept at conflict management and de-escalation when necessary.(High EQ) • Fearless and able to have even difficult conversations with attorneys and law firm owners, but in a collaborative, team-oriented way Compensation: $77,000 yearly
