    Job Description

    THE COMPANY:

    Andor Law helps national, regional, and local clients in Oregon and Washington. Our attorneys and staff draw on decades of experience and work as a team to provide exceptional representation, counsel, advocacy, and service.

     

    THE LOCATION:

    Our office is located in downtown Portland.

    This is not a remote position.

     

    THE POSITION:

    LITIGATION PARALEGAL / LEGAL ASSISTANT

    The ideal candidate must be organized to regularly sort, prepare, manage, and file various client and court documents. They should also have impressive computer skills as they regularly use different applications to organize information and input data. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities are needed as well to effectively interact with clients and attorneys. They’ll also need these written skills to draft and proofread legal documents.

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Managing legal cases from start to finish, ensuring the legal team meets court and client deadlines

    • Drafting, preparing, and formatting memoranda, correspondence, motions, pleadings, affidavits, and various other legal documents

    • Create and maintain client files

    • Calendar court dates and deadlines

    • Communicate with court clerks, sheriffs, opposing counsel, court and recording clerks, and clients

    • Assist with document retrieval, review, organization, and production

    • Support attorneys in hearing and trial preparation

    • Assist with overflow work and other projects as assigned

    • Maintain confidentiality of client information

    • Providing exceptional customer service to clients at every level of interaction

     

    REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Associate Degree (preferred)

    • Paralegal certificate and/or 3-5 years equivalent work experience; less for the right candidate

    • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with or without direct supervision and coordinate multiple projects

    • Fast, proficient, and accurate typist

    • Proficient with Microsoft Suite/Office 365 and common office equipment

    • Proficient with Apple products and Mac Software

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Strong writing and editing skills

    • Excellent attention to detail

    • Excellent time-management, organizational, and problem-solving skills

    • Self-starter who works well independently

    • Professional and positive demeanor

    • Flexibility for unscheduled overtime as needed

    • Must be vaccinated/willing to be vaccinated for COVID-19

    Monday through Friday; typically, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm
