Anesthesiologist – Locum Tenens

Location: William Jennings Bryan Dorn VA Medical Center, Columbia, South Carolina

Pay

• $250 per hour – Standard Time

• $300 per hour – Call and Overtime

• $350 per hour – Holidays

• Weekly Pay

Contract

• Start Date: May 1, 2026

• One-Year Base with Option to Extend

• Long-Term Assignment

• 24/7 Coverage Model

Schedule

• Day Shift: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

• Night Call: 3:30 pm to 7:00 am

• Weekends and Federal Holidays Included

• On-Call Response Required Within 60 Minutes

Duties

• Provide full-scope anesthesiology services

• Operating Room, ICU, Pain Management, Emergency Airway

• Support Cardiac, Vascular, Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, and General Surgery

• Participate in call rotation and trauma coverage

• Document all care in VA Electronic Health Record

Requirements

• MD or DO

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology

• Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license

• BLS and ACLS

• Eligible for VA credentialing and privileging

• Active DEA
