    Job Description

    Wine Sales Representative

    Angels’ Share Wine Imports is looking for an experienced wine sales rep with existing relationships in the NYC territory. Our portfolio represents diverse wines including beautiful Napa cabs, significant Greek, Italian, and French imports, and The Red Hook Winery—a Brooklyn winery making wines from NY state grapes.

    We are looking for a full-time sales rep to work with both on- and off-premise accounts in the NYC Area including Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, and Staten Island. This position has an active account base of ~$500K in sales and plenty of room for growth.

    You must be a very driven individual who can comprehensively sell our portfolio, share our passion for artisanal wines, and convey that passion to your accounts.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 2+ years of wine wholesale/Sales experience
    • Established relationships with accounts & buyers in territory
    • Advanced wine & spirits knowledge (WSET Level 3, Certified Somm or equivalent level of knowledge – certifications not required!)
    • Strong business and interpersonal skills
    • Meticulous attention to detail and high personal standards of performance
    • Passionate about the wine and spirits world
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a NY Solicitor Permit

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Form relationships and build distribution in both on and off-premise accounts
    • Maintain strong relationships with established customers, while growing business significantly
    • Direct sales campaigns in existing and new accounts
    • Facilitate product sales on selected items/brands, meeting monthly and yearly sales goals and objectives
    • Work in collaboration with Company supplier partners (Work-withs)
    • Develop new accounts through cold-calling prospective new customers
    • Attend occasional sales meetings

    THIS IS A FULL-TIME COMMISSION-BASED ROLE WITH REIMBURSABLE DRIVING/ACCOUNT SUPPORT EXPENSES, EMPLOYER CONTRIBUTION TO HEALTH/DENTAL INSURANCE PREMIUMS, A GENEROUS SAMPLE BUDGET, AND 401(K).

    We are also open to structuring this role for an independent contractor with an established wine consulting business.
