  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    Assist government procurement agencies with defining proposals, including RFPs, and qualifying vendors. Apply knowledge of the defense acquisition process to support customers in the analysis and improvement of acquisition processes, policy, and procedures. Devise innovative strategies for deploying and implementing new acquisition policy initiatives and measuring the effectiveness of implementation. Use quantitative analytical techniques to assess system acquisition process issues and develop risk reduction or mitigation approaches for improving acquisition or program planning, control, and execution. Advise and guide on all matters of federal, DoD, and Navy pre-award and post-award contracting procedures and policies. Review procurement request (PR) packages, including acquisition plans (APs), acquisition strategies (AS), statements of work (SOWs), performance work statements (PWSs), source selection plans (SSPs), justification and approvals (J&As), determination and finding (D&F), and the contract data requirements list (CDRL), such as ensuring the adequacy, consistency, and compliance with administrative, regulatory, and procedural requirements

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years of experience with contract management, including procurement planning, pre-award, price and cost analyses, and post-award and closeout in a government or government support role
    • Experience with providing contractual consultation to a government client, including researching, analyzing, and interpreting complex rules and regulations and providing actionable recommendation to government clients
    • Experience with drafting, including pre-award and post-award acquisition documents, including PR, AP, SOO, SOW, PWS, SSP, J&A, D&F, TI, and CDRLs
    • Experience with the complete Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
    • Knowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FAR), defense federal acquisition regulations system (DFARS), and principles of acquisition planning
    • Ability to obtain a clearance
    • BA or BS degree

    Clearance:

    Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
