What You'll Do:
- Feed, handle, and care for animals in the shelter
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for animals and visitors
- Implant microchips and assist with veterinary procedures
- Perform euthanasia and document drug usage (certification required within 6 months if not held)
- Track inventory, assist with cremations, and support volunteers in animal handling
- Enter accurate data into our animal services system
What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6+ months' experience working with animals or in animal control
- Basic animal handling skills; experience with large or aggressive animals preferred
- Valid Texas driver's license; ability to provide your own transportation
- Strong communication, customer service, and computer skills
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends
- Must pass background and drug/alcohol screening
