RedStone Ranch is seeking an energetic, animal-loving Barnyard Teacher / Animal Education Instructor to join our growing team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with young children, engaging with families, and teaching through hands-on experiences with farm animals.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable both teaching and interacting with the public, while helping expand and grow our weekday barnyard programming.
Position Overview
This position will lead our Mommy & Me classes and daily Barnyard Experiences, creating fun, educational, and interactive learning opportunities centered around animals and farm life.
The ideal candidate enjoys being outdoors, working with animals, and creating meaningful experiences for children and families.
Responsibilities
Lead Mommy & Me classes at the Barnyard
Facilitate weekday Barnyard educational experiences (Monday–Friday)
Teach children about farm animals, care routines, and basic animal safety
Engage positively with families and guests visiting the ranch
Assist in developing and introducing new weekday classes and activities
Help grow and expand barnyard programming through creative ideas and engagement
Maintain a safe, welcoming, and organized learning environment
Work collaboratively with barnyard and animal care staff
Qualifications
Experience in preschool education, early childhood programs, retail, or customer-facing roles preferred
Comfortable speaking to groups of children and parents
Friendly, outgoing, and confident working with the public
Knowledge of animals, preferably farm animals
Comfortable working outdoors in a farm environment
Creative, reliable, and self-motivated
Passion for education, animals, and community engagement
Schedule
Monday through Friday
Morning and afternoon programming
Occasional flexibility for special events
