In this position, you will work with staff to exhibit and sell our brand's products in our booth at conventions, and also in our stores. Having a passion for anime and pop-culture franchises essential.
Knowledge of the following anime are crucial for success in this position:
Sailor Moon
Cardcaptor Sakura
Madoka Magica
Digimon
Pokemon
One Piece
On and off the clock research and studying may be necessary to cultivate the ideal level of understanding we require.
To become the best there ever is, you must be able to identify and name all main characters, their partners, their weapons, their symbols, and other critical information in the 3 Magical Girl series, and the first 3 seasons of Digimon that we carry.
This information can be learned quickly but you must be willing to do that learning in order to succeed and thrive in this role.
Job Specific Notes:
Full time for this Position is typically 2 conventions per month, and two weeks at the malls and warehouse.
Traveling to and from a con usually takes folks out of state for 5-6 days, though some can be up to 8 days.
Some cons are back to back where folks are out of state for 2 weeks.
Long periods of standing and moving will be necessary, dependent upon customer traffic.
Sleeping arrangements are co-ed.
Responsibilities:
Work with a small team maintaining our standards
Exhibiting wares to customers, from casual to collectors
Follow sales strategies to increase revenue flow
Suggest merchandise based on customer feedback
Follow compliance with company policies and procedures
Maintain visual appearance of the booth and merchandise
Resourcing answers to role related questions and challenges.
Multi-Tasking
Restocking as needed during open hours
Qualifications:
Previous experience in retail, customer service, or other related fields
Product Knowledge in Digimon, Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, and Madoka Magica are strongly desirable
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and self-motivating
Excellent written and communication skills
Proficiency in cash handling procedures
Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
Basic math
What's a typical Con like?
Driving time in the company vehicle with your team mates is shared.
Duration of travel depends on distance of the con, and we travel up to 30 hours, or 3 days time, away.
Typically we do not drive longer than 12 hours in a day
Unloading the vehicle and setting up the booth usually takes 8 hours.
All cons have different open hours, but typically the days can range from 6hrs-10hrs.
Everyone on the team is expected to be at the booth during open hours.

Pickup, receive, and process our shipments
Select and pack stock for upcoming cons
Perform restocks to each of our stores
Maintain product integrity
This is a very physical job. Standing, lifting, squatting, and reaching are typical activities of a normal day.
