We have two daughters ages 14 and 11. We are looking for a friendly and calm firm-but-fair mother's helper for after school. The job involves picking the girls up and bringing them home, helping out Mom with a few things around the house or a quick errand and then dropping the girls off to various activities. Mom will take the youngest and you bring the oldest to her activity. We are looking for a responsible young woman who always shows up and shows up on time, who genuinely likes younger humans. We are looking for someone with patience who will not terrorize or humiliate the children (yep, that has happened). We are also looking for a safe driver who will turn her phone off while driving and use the car GPS--because we want the children to live. Ideally, you would not crash our car frequently into random objects on a weekly basis (that has happened too). The oldest girl loves to draw, enjoys reading and creating cartoons and is into Marvel movies and comics more than is probably healthy. She also plays soccer and loves to ride horses. She makes documentary films and is desperate to learn how to do animation. The youngest enjoys dance and studies classical ballet and hip hop and listens to appalling music. She is vegan but wavers in her commitment just before Halloween. She looks sweet but can be a fireball. She loves fashion. Both girls love to bake and they are both newly obsessed with the Curious Creations of Christine McConnell. We pay $25 per hour pre tax and the hours are about 25 each week. The hours are M-F 3-8 PM unless my husband is out of town and then it could be closer to 9 or 9:30 PM. This is a regular job with regular weekly pay check and taxes taken out according to what you report on your W4. You are given a W2 at the end of the year. You do not work on major holidays. You can also request off additional days that are religious holidays. You can also take off for vacation etc. as long as I know in advance so I can get someone to cover. We have a nice big vehicle for your use while at work so there is no wear and tear on your car. This job is open to non-smokers with a valid drivers license and three references.
