FINANCIAL COUNSELOR

We are seeking a highly driven Financial Counselor to join our growing Adparo team. This is a patient-centric role that provides support to our client’s patients. Our ideal Financial Counselor is looking for a role in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This position is remote. You resonate with the mission of Annexus Health and ultimately believe your work is about helping solve larger problems in the wider community.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Screen all new patients for eligibility of enrollment into different pharmaceutical and non-profit program(s) by reports and task list via AssistPoint
• Verify patients insurance coverage, researches probability of coverage based on known criteria, and provides information for patients in need of financial assistance
• Complete financial cost estimates
• Enroll patient into program(s) with proper documentation via PDF or digital portal
• Communicate directly with staff to ensure signatures on paperwork and prescriptions to submit to the patient assistance programs
• Resolve billing issues/questions from both patient assistance programs and staff by phone, fax, mail or portal
• Works directly with the Financial Counselor team supervisor to ensure a proper workflow
• Reviews patients’ financial capabilities if not covered by insurances
• Respects the dignity and confidentiality of patients
• Possesses good communication skills that lend to a team oriented work environment
• Help your team, customer, and Annexus Health constantly get better

ABOUT YOU:

• Minimum 1 year experience as a financial counselor
• Oncology experience is a plus
• A passion for great outcomes
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Effective communication skills
• Ability/desire to thrive in a service oriented culture
• Quick and deep learner
• A self-starter who can work independently at home
