    This position will be located in our Culver City office and may be asked to be in the office on a hybrid schedule (days in-office to be determined). This can be subject to change to the then-current Company policy.


    POSITION OVERVIEW

    The Production Accountant will report to the Controller and will be responsible for production accounting in our brand studio business. This individual will be responsible for facilitating production teams’ requests, ensuring compliance with production accounting policies and procedures and timely and accurate processing of invoices. To be successful, this individual must have strong communication and organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and be able to work well across teams. The ideal candidate will be highly interested in the entertainment business and will be passionate about Production.


    ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Ability to maintain organization across multiple contemporaneous productions

    • Serve as a liaison and key accounting point of contact with productions ensuring that policies are followed per company and AICP guidelines

    • Facilitate coordination among Production Payroll, Cost Accountant, and Corporate AP team

    • Support the reconciliation of bank accounts, petty cash accounts, payroll clearing accounts, credit card statements and vendor aging

    • Entry of vendor invoices and data in a timely and precise manner

    • Maintain vendor master files (e.g., W-9 forms), set up accounts with new vendors, and respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status of invoices

    • Conduct start-up and wrap meetings with productions to ensure the Accounting Department has received proper job documentation, such as POs, invoices, timecards, and production actuals

    • Prepare, review, and issue annual 1099 forms in a timely manner

    • Complete ad-hoc and special projects to support the Accounting department

    REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

    • 2-5+ years of accounts payable experience and/or Associate’s degree or greater in Accounting or related field
    • Experience in either a production accounting department or a production office required
    • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and execute on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Experience with one or more relevant accounting systems preferred (e.g., Sage Intacct, Accrualify)
    • High-energy level and a strong proactive work ethic
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and within a team environment
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word required
    • Self-motivated, eagerness to learn, and willingness to take on new challenges
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
