  • Responsibilities

    This position is located in Sandusky, OH.

    As a House Parent at Anthony's Villa, you will be responsible for managing a home and providing supervision to up to 5 children placed through Ohio JFS foster care. Your primary duties will include scheduling appointments for the children, providing transportation as needed, engaging the children in the therapeutic process, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. Understanding trauma and actively participating in the healing process is essential in this role. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing the Profit & Loss (P&L) of the group home and will need to commit to full-time employment without outside employment.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum age of 21 years
    • Successful completion of BCI/FBI background check
    • Possession of a valid driver's license
    • No record of any convictions
    • Reside in or relocate to Sandusky, OH
    • Ability to live in one of our homes or willingness to work towards licensing your own home
    • Possession of a high school diploma or GED

    Preferred:

    • Bachelor's degree or higher
    • Previous experience as a foster parent or house parent

    Certifications:

    • Obtain Level 2 trauma certificate and CPR/First Aid certification within 90 days of hire through the Red Cross

    Work Schedule:This position requires 24-hour home supervision, with a schedule of 9 days on and 3 days off.
