    **JOB DESCRIPTION
    Anthos|Home is a start-up nonprofit, founded in 2022 and growing fast, and this is a new role within the organization. As we work to scale the organization, the ability to raise significant government and philanthropic funding and to effectively engage with a wide range of stakeholders to share our mission and accomplishments will be critical to our success. The Development and Communications Specialist must have the experience and skills to support Anthos|Home's fundraising through a wide range of activities. They must also have the vision and experience to take a lead role in creating and implementing Anthos|Home's communication's strategy, building our brand, and growing our organizational presence and connectedness.

    **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    Development:

    • Work with the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Institutional Giving and Communications to develop fundraising, marketing, and communications plans and strategies
    • Write and manage all aspects of applications in response to government RFPs
    • Provide support with foundation proposals, reports, Letters of Inquiry, acknowledgment letters, outreach, and correspondence
    • Conduct and manage prospect research, prioritizing and outreach
    • Manage Salesforce-based donor database
    • Track and report on funder relationships, grants, and reporting
    • Work with accounting team to prepare budgets and final expense reports and track grant payments and funds
    • Create and manage fundraising campaigns
    • Work to build online giving
    • Work across the organization to learn about our programs and participants and gather information for fundraising materials
    • Create reports for funders, Board, and executive team

    Communications:

    • Work with the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Institutional Giving and Communications to design and implement an effective communications strategy and to develop, refine, and implement core messaging
    • Take the lead on building our communications infrastructure, building out and maintaining materials, annual communications calendar, website, social media, funder touchpoints, e-newsletter, press releases, and more
    • Manage day-to-day content creation, sharing and engagement
    • Develop and maintain engagement with partners and allies on social media
    • Develop marketing materials and opportunities to celebrate accomplishments and increase organizational visibility
    • Work across the organization to identify opportunities to conduct interviews, tell stories, capture images from the field, and create content that supports our core messaging, builds our brand, and shares our accomplishments and partnerships across a variety of platforms through writing, video, photos, graphics, data and more
    • Manage communications calendar
    • Graphic design to create materials in alignment with our organizational style guide
    • Update organization's website and manage content

    **
    **QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
    Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience in development, communications, marketing, journalism, or related field, ideally in a nonprofit environment.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

    • Must be a great writer and editor
    • Excellent verbal and communication skills
    • Experience with storytelling and content creation and management
    • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline driven
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Canva
    • Experience with social media management, particularly on LinkedIn and Facebook
    • Experience creating e-newsletters and group emails and managing lists in Constant Contact
    • Experience managing and updating website content in WordPress
    • Experience working with and editing video
    • Experience creating and working with budgets and expense reports
    • Experience with donor management in Salesforce

    Work Environment

    • Competitive Pay: $70,000 - $80,000 salary range (dependent on experience)
    • WFH/Hybrid work, three days required in the office each week
