MIDDLE SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER - 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR

POSITION TITLE: School Social Worker

GRADE LEVEL: 6th-8th grade

CASELOAD: approximately 35-40 students

SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER REQUIREMENTS:

• MASTER’S DEGREE IN SCHOOL SOCIAL WORK (MSW) IS REQUIRED
• Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement is required
• Ability to connect with people from diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Team-centered, organized, and superior communication skills.

TYPICAL DUTIES OF SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER:

• Support students in a full-time role for the 2021-2022 School Year
• Work with parents and children in a confidential and caring manner and assists the family, school, and community in any way required to bridge gaps between family and school
• Provides casework assessment and services to students and their families
• Assess, identify and provide clinical interventions to students with emotional, social, attendance, and/or behavioral concerns within the general education population.
• Participate and present in District-level and school-based professional learning activities for continued professional growth
