PART-TIME SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER

We are currently hiring a Part-Time School Social Worker for K-5th grade. This is a short-term role of approximately 20 hours per week from April 12th, 2021 – May 20th, 2021.

LOCATION: Arlington Heights, IL

PAY RANGE: $38.50 - $49.50/hr depending on experience

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER ROLE:

• MASTER’S DEGREE IN SCHOOL SOCIAL WORK (MSW) IS REQUIRED
• Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement is required
• Previous experience in a school setting is encouraged
• Ability to connect with people from diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required

ABOUT THE SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER ROLE:

• Provide advocacy, child welfare, and case management services to students
• Works with parents and children in a confidential and caring manner and assists the family, school, and community in any way required to bridge gaps between family and school
• Assess, identify and provide clinical interventions to students with emotional, social, attendance and/or behavioral concerns within the general education population
• Perform consultations with classroom teachers and be a resource for school site personnel on mental health and social/emotional issues that may affect classroom performance
