JOB DESCRIPTION:
AnthroMed Education is dedicated to the Special Educators to help them achieve their career goals. We work with the very best School Social Workers in both public and charter schools where they can truly make a difference in children’s lives. We've partnered with a local Elementary School Searching for a School Social Worker to support a caseload of 32 students in a K-8th Grade setting.

SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER DUTIES:
- Promote a school climate and culture conducive to student learning. Utilize effective practices that provide for safe environments and supportive relationships.
- Provide advocacy, child welfare, and case management services to students.
- Assess, identify and provide clinical interventions to students with emotional, social, attendance, and/or behavioral concerns within the general education population.
- Perform consultations with classroom teachers and be a resource for school site personnel on mental health and social/emotional issues that may affect classroom performance.
- Coordinate, develop, and facilitate professional development for teachers, staff, and administrators in the area of social/emotional learning, self-care, and trauma-sensitive schools.
- Other duties as assigned
SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s Degree in School Social Work (MSW) is required.
- Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement is required.
- Previous experience in a school setting is encouraged.
- Ability to work both individually as well as in a team-based environment with parents, teachers, students, and administrators.
