Forklift & Order Picker – 1st Shift (Bender Group 3PL)

Pay Rate: $19.00/hr Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Must be flexible for overtime/early starts)

POSITION OVERVIEW

Abacus is hiring skilled Forklift Operators for the Bender Group 3PL in Antioch. We are looking for "Hybrid" workers pros who can operate heavy equipment with precision but are also willing to jump on the floor to help the team meet daily distribution goals for our camping and outdoor supply clients.

Key Equipment & Tasks:

Primary Operation: Must have at least 1 year of experience operating a Cherry Picker (Order Picker).

Secondary Operation: Ability to operate a Sit-Down Forklift as needed.

Hybrid Role: You will not be on the forklift 100% of the time. You must be willing to work on the floor, assisting with manual tasks and loading/unloading trucks.

Internal Certification: While 1 year of experience is required, the supervisor will provide internal certification at the facility.

LOGISTICS & ACCURACY REQUIREMENTS

This is a detail-oriented position. We are looking for operators who are fast but never "Careless."

Work Order Management: Ability to read and follow complex work orders and shipping instructions perfectly.

Precision Counting: Must have a high attention to detail when counting boxes and staging product.

Communication: Must be a proactive communicator who collaborates effectively with coworkers to keep the workflow moving.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Experience: Minimum 1 year of verifiable experience on a Cherry Picker or Sit-Down Forklift.

Attitude: A "Team-Player" mentality—no task is too small, whether on or off the lift.

Math & Reading: Strong ability to read instructions and perform accurate inventory counts.

Safety Gear: Steel-toed shoes are mandatory.

Patience: Willingness to follow "The Bender Way" for workload management.

SITE RULES & BENEFITS

NO ELECTRONICS: Cell phones and smartwatches are strictly prohibited in the warehouse.

Environment: Non-climate-controlled warehouse; please dress appropriately for the weather.

Reliability: Strict attendance policy—zero call-outs during the first 2 weeks.
