    Job Description

    Antonyan Miranda, LLP, one of the largest family law firms in California, is hiring an experienced litigation paralegal to support their assigned attorneys in all aspects of litigation from case inception through trial, including but not limited to case management, drafting documents, ensuring all deadlines are met, organizing files, and preparation of documents to the court while maintaining professional relationships within the firm and outside the firm with clients and court personnel. 

    Responsibilities and Duties:  

    · Assist litigator in preparing of Petition or Response and Request for Dissolution or Legal Separation 

    · Assist litigator in preparing of Petition or Response to Establish Parental Relationship 

    · Assist litigator in preparing Request for Domestic Violence Restraining Orders and Response to Request for Domestic Violence Restraining Order; 

    · Assist litigator in preparing Request for Orders; 

    · Assist litigator in preparation of Responsive Declarations, Reply Declarations, Requests for Judicial Notice, and any other pleadings as assigned. 

    · Prepare Motions to Be Relieved as Counsel 

    · Prepare Notice of Intent to Lodge Documents 

    · Assist Litigator in retrieving and organizing exhibits for Notice of Lodgments 

    · Assist Forensic Department in preparing Preliminary and Final Declarations of Disclosure 

    · Prepare Trial Documents, Trial Binders, and Trial Exhibit Binders 

    · Assist litigator in trial preparation 

    · Assist appellate attorney in post-judgment family law appeals 

    · Prepare Stipulations and Orders and Judgments for filing 

    · Assist Discovery Attorney in preparing discovery requests, discovery responses, Notices of Deposition, Deposition Subpoenas, and CCP §1987 Notices to Appear and Produce Documents 

    · Draft correspondence to clients, opposing counsel, and third-party mediators, discovery  referees, and privately compensated Judges 

    · Proofread and format all pleadings and discovery 

    · Coordinate depositions of parties, third-party witnesses, and experts 

    · Coordinate filing and service of pleadings and discovery 

    · Research case law and statutes applicable to Family Law and Civil Litigation 

    · Manage and maintain calendar and deadlines for case load 

    · Maintain electronic case files 

    · Scan and save incoming and outgoing case documents 

    · Communicate with clients and opposing counsel  

    · Other duties as assigned by Litigation Support Manager and/or Managing Paralegal, Director of Human Resources, or Partners. 

    Qualifications:  

    • 3-5 Years of experience.
    • Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approved program required.   
    • Practices superior time management. 
    • Maintains excellent writing and language skills. 
    • Makes evident good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly. 
    • Possesses great ability to identify potential negative or crisis situation and apply conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues. 
    • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task.  
    • Must be able to investigate, document and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.  
    • Must possess the ability to generate trust and build relationships with co-workers.  
    • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times to protect the privacy of employees and clients. 
    • Demonstrates winning Social Customer Service techniques such as empathy, patience, advocacy and conflict resolution. 
    •  Knowledge of California State Court rules and procedures.
