This position requires work in a cold, refrigerated warehouse environment
Duties include:
• Inspect all incoming product from growers when being received on the loading dock.
• Routinely check the warehouse and either approve or disapprove current product
• Perform audits on specific produce as directed by management
• Stand 8-10 hours in cold warehouse, lift 50 pounds, drive riding jack
Required Skills
- Preferred experience and knowledge of the produce industry
- Capable of communicating with management and executive staff
- Experienced in the use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Project.
- Functional or above use of excel, spreadsheets, and databases
- Ability to speak Spanish a plus but not required
- ERP and warehouse management software experience a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Detail oriented and dependable.
- Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to work in a cold, wet environment up to 98% of their time on the job.
- Must be able to life and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to walk, sit, stand, crouch, and reach throughout the day as well as make use of their hands to handle product and tools of the job.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
SHIFT: 3:30 PM- 11:30 PM , Monday through Friday. Saturday and Sunday off.
Required Experience
3-5 Years experience preferably in warehouse environment
1-2 years food handling experience (warehouse, retail, restaurant, manufacturing)
