    POSITION TITLE:                      DEPARTMENT CLERK – HEALTHPLEX, PHYSICAL THERAPY

                                                          

    STATUS:                                  FULL –TIME / 72 HOURS/PAY

     

    DAY/SHIFT/HOURS:                 HOURS VARY DEPENDENT ON DEPARTMENT NEEDS  

                                                                                                               

    REPORTS TO:                         JEREMY KLASERNER – PHYSICAL THERAPY COORDINATOR

     

    WAGE/SALARY RANGE:       $15.00

     

    CORE COMPETENCIES FOR THE POSITION

     

    • General receptionist duties including answering the phone, referring and screening calls, and taking messages.
    • Directs visitors, patients, and families to appropriate areas of the Healthplex and Hospital.
    • Opens and distributes departmental mail.
    • Schedules patient visits.
    • Helps to schedule employees' patient assignments.
    • Collects and submits daily billing.
    • Maintains monthly and yearly statistics.
    • Other duties as may be assigned

    Required Skills

    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    1. High School Graduate or Equivalent.
    2. Two years’ related experience, preferably in Health related field.
    3. Previous experience with Meditech or other Hospital Information System preferred.
    4. Must have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with excellent customer service skills, projecting a

           positive image for the Hospital.

    1. Must have excellent organizational skills, be able to multi task, have the ability to work independently and

          prioritize work. Attention to detail is a necessity.

    1. Must have excellent typing and computer skills.
    2. Knowledge and adherence to the Hospital’s I CARE Standards.
