    The Computer Aided Drafting Department at Arapahoe Community College is accepting applications for part-time Instructors to teach Revit during the upcoming Spring semester. 

    This course introduces students to the Autodesk Revit Architecture software and examines the Building Information Modeling approach to 2D and 3D architectural construction documents. Students will create floor plans, elevations, sections, 3D models, perspective renderings and animations.

    Part-time Instructors provide instructional duties for the College in their respective areas of expertise. They report to the program chair within the discipline and do not have any supervisory responsibilities. Responsibilities include: instruction, student assessment, and other related instructional duties. 

    This course will be taught online, finalist must be willing to make Colorado their primary workplace. Must have adequate software to be able to teach remotely, if necessary (webcam, internet, microphone, etc.).

    The instructor must be patient, and respectful, while also providing their expectations for what is considered acceptable work. The instructor must display dedication to the class as well as the goals of the program.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Associate’s degree, or higher, in Computer Aided Drafting from an accredited institution
    • Have, or qualify for, a postsecondary Career & Technical Education credential including 4,000 non-teaching occupational hours within the last 7 years (2,000 hours if at Bachelor’s or higher)

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Prior teaching experience
    • At least five years professional experience using Revit for Architecture
    • Autodesk certification(s)
    • Knowledge of adult learning theory concepts; ability to utilize these principles effectively in the learning environment
