    About the Role

    The Front end Engineer will report to our Director of Applications Development. This is a hybrid role, with an expectation of reporting to an office 2-3 days a week in the San Ramon area.

    Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Facilitate data integration within the modern data stack by leveraging Retool apps for data creation and data management
    • Developing CRUD (create, read, update, and delete) operations for supporting workflows
    • Connecting API and database resources for data reading and writing
    • Creating event handlers in response to user interactions
    • Create impactful retool applications
    • Building low-code applications for automating company internal workflows
    • Building user interfaces for reporting and analysis
    • Progress MVP (minimum viable product) to full functionality to automate business processes
    • Development using SQL, JavaScript, HTML and CSS
    • Implementing UI/UX (user interface/user experience) design following user requirements and enhancing user experience

    While no one individual will possess them all, the successful candidate will bring many of the following experiences, skills, and attributes:

    • Ability to communicate with solutions from a high level down to small details
    • Interest in integrating data expertise with application development
    • Proficiency in writing SQL queries and SQL CRUD operations
    • Working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML and CSS
    • Understanding of UX/UI design principles
    • Understanding SDLC (software development life cycle)
