  • Responsibilities

    The Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting in maintaining the physical integrity & cleanliness of the building at all times. This involves ensuring a safe and secure environment for customers, clients, visitors, and the team. The technician actively participates in the cleanliness & maintenance of the physical condition of the entire building while promoting tenant satisfaction. Our Maintenance team is very customer service-driven, which creates a lasting influence on visitors, prospects, and tenants. Responsibilities: • Establish and implement preventative maintenance protocols to keep equipment operations smooth and eliminate safety risks • Make records of when any equipment was services and repairs were made • Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and systems such as HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, and electrical wiring to make sure they’re operating efficiently and make any needed repairs • Take additional maintenance requests as assigned • Examine building windows, walls, and doors for damage and perform repairs when needed • Perform basic maintenance and service for plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, appliance, and mechanical repairs in residential apartment units • Promptly answer resident service calls and perform repairs in a timely fashion • Interact politely and professionally with apartment tenants, outside vendors/contractors, and coworkers • Complete all assigned maintenance work on vacant apartments for unit turns and make-ready activities • Perform various preventative maintenance measures • Respond to on-call/after-hours emergency maintenance requests/work orders • Maintain community grounds • Paint units • Clean carpets Qualifications: • Has high school diploma, GED, or equivalent • Advanced understanding of maintenance equipment, procedures, and techniques • Superb attention to detail, work ethic, and communication skills • Needs to have availability to respond on nights and weekends to on-call maintenance requests • 2+ years of maintenance experience • Ability to easily get to and from work • Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle Compensation: $16 - $19 hourly
