    We are seeking a dependable and service-oriented team member to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming living environment for residents and guests. In this role, you will support the day-to-day upkeep of apartment communities by completing routine maintenance tasks, assisting with repairs, and helping ensure common areas and vacant units are well cared for. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, communicates professionally, and responds quickly to resident and property needs.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform routine cleaning and upkeep of common areas, hallways, lobbies, stairwells, and exterior spaces.
    • Assist with basic maintenance and repair tasks, including minor plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and appliance-related issues as assigned.
    • Prepare vacant units for new residents by completing cleaning, trash removal, and light maintenance work.
    • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
    • Replace light bulbs, filters, batteries, and other common maintenance items as needed.
    • Remove trash, debris, and bulk items from designated areas.
    • Monitor the property for safety, cleanliness, and maintenance concerns, and report issues promptly.
    • Assist with snow removal, landscaping support, or seasonal property tasks when required.
    • Follow all safety procedures and use equipment and cleaning materials properly.
    • Provide courteous service to residents, visitors, and team members.

    Qualifications

    • Previous experience in apartment maintenance, porter, janitorial, custodial, or related work is preferred.
    • Basic knowledge of maintenance tools, cleaning equipment, and general repair practices.
    • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
    • Good communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment as needed.
    • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
    • Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions and safety guidelines.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience working in multi-unit residential properties or property management settings.
    • Familiarity with work order systems or maintenance tracking procedures.
    • General knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
