    We are helping a medical office client source a Scribe / Clinical Assistant for their company. **
    **

    Responsibilities: Responsible for accurately documenting encounter that the provider has with the patient during the time of the visit. Also, responsible for understanding EMR data management to meet all HIPPA, MIPS, and other regulatory standards. Assistant to Doctor, Midlevel Providers and Clinic Manager to process and follow through on orders. Other tasks as requested.

    Duties of Position:

    - Maintains strict confidentiality related to medical records and other

    data. Transmits medical records according to HIPPA law.

    - Reviews labs / radiology/ other records with provider and processes results

    - Files charts and paperwork

    - Monitors compliance with documentation standards with reports monthly

    - Assists with special projects as directed

    - Processes orders and sends to lab or radiology facilities

    - Sends referrals to other offices as directed by Providers

    - Follows up with patients and facilities to obtain needed data

    - Communicates with Providers regarding patients' lab/radiology reports

    - Performs other duties as required

    Position Requirements: High school diploma or its equivalent is required. College credits in Biology / Life Sciences is required. Medical transcription, scribe training, or other education / experience in the life sciences is required. Computer literacy is required. Knowledge of health care, insurance practices and compliance is preferred but not required. Excellent written and verbal communication are required. Excellent presentation and public relations skills are required. Ability to quickly incorporate new learning into practice is required.

    Physical/Mental Demands: Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment. Requires keyboard work and frequent computer data entry. This position will be part time / temporary at first, and eventually may lead to a permanent full time position.
