Job Description

Apex is seeking a Project Management Engineering intern. We hire Interns that are passionate about sustainable clean energy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support the engineering, design and/or construction of renewable energy projects
• Assist with solar energy design
• Assist with modeling wind energy and solar energy projects’ economics
• Assist with editing project contractual documents and exhibits
• Assist with providing project information to project stakeholders
• Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate student studying civil engineering or electrical engineering
• Knowledge of project management concepts preferred
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others
• Course work or experience in the energy industry; renewable energy experience is ideal
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• High proficiency with Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Additional Information

• The internship program will run from June 6 through August 12 but we can be flexible with the start and end dates
• Hours: Full Time 
• Type:  Non-Exempt
• Paid Internship: Undergrad $15/Hour; Grad $25/Hour
• Office Location: Depends on the status of the pandemic.  If we are able to work in-person, the internship will take place in our Charlottesville, VA headquarters; otherwise, internships will be held remotely
