Job Description

Apex is seeking an intern to work with our geographic information systems (GIS) team on producing analysis and maps to support the development and construction of energy projects. The summer associate will work with presenting spatial data as supervised by analyst or manager, attend meetings to build an understanding of spatial data demand and significance to project due diligence, and assist analysts in data mining, digitization, and quality control.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or a graduate degree in Geography, Natural Resources, Planning, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related technical discipline from an accredited university of college.
• Experience in ESRI suite of applications
• Prior experience and/or strong desire to learn automating GIS workflow in Python
• Strong communication skills in both verbal and written form are required
• Previous Wind Energy or Solar Energy experience is a plus

• The summer associate program will run from June 5 through August 11 but we can be flexible with the start and end dates

• Paid Internship: Undergrad $15/Hour; Grad $25/Hour
