    TO HELP US MEET OUR GOALS APEX DER IS LOOKING TO HIRE A BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ANALYST TO JOIN OUR FAMILY. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

    • Develop a deep understanding of DER fundamentals
    • Perform detailed research and analysis on key market drivers and demand
    • Monitor energy market developments, and provide analysis of critical changes
    • Oversee modeling and analysis of specified DER markets and projects to support investment decisions, business planning, strategic planning, and new business opportunities
    • Maintain centralized models and datasets used to support market and project analysis
    • Translate model outputs into business insights and strategies
    • Support business development processes by developing customized solutions for DER customers
    • Perform advanced energy savings calculations and other economic analyses
    • Educate and articulate DER concepts to internal and external stakeholders

    SUCCESS PROFILE

    To succeed as a Business Development Analyst at Apex Clean Energy, you’ll need to excel within the following criteria:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or in a related field
    • 3+ years professional experience in the renewable energy space
    • Advanced Excel modeling skills to complete daily tasks
    • Broad knowledge of US power industry structures, policies, regulations, and market fundamentals
    • Familiarity with recent trends in renewables, to include energy storage and DER
    • In-depth understanding of financial valuation tools and metrics such as NPV and IRR
    • Team player who is collaborative and dexterous in all environments
    • Strong organization skills with the ability to adapt to deadlines in a rapidly changing environment.
    • Experience with business development and client development processes and tools
    • Experience in regulatory and public stakeholder processes would be highly valued
    • Knowledge of building construction methods, mechanical systems, and related energy use in residential and commercial construction also a plus
    • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required upon employment.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    Works primarily traditional office hours in an indoor office environment. Flexible work hours allowed when work duties and business operations permit.
