Podiatric Medical Office Coordinator
We are seeking an ambitious, responsible, self-motivated, organized, and experienced medical professional for our podiatric office coordinator.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
Proficiency in organizational and time management skills are a must for this position.
Works closely with doctors and management to maintain effective communication and complete daily tasks.
Able to maintain a calm demeanor and think clearly in difficult, stressful, or troubling situations.
Capable of multi-tasking without sacrificing quality of work and documentation.
Takes initiative and has good follow through on tasks for themselves and assistants.
Possesses managerial experience; able to delegate tasks and supervise without micromanaging.
Oversees all daily office activities and ensures all individual employee tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Understands importance of triaging tasks based on their timely importance.
Has a good working knowledge of basic computer skills, documentation skills, medical records, EHR, medical insurance, and medical terminology.
Able to scribe medical notes quickly and efficiently, as dictated by the doctors.
Checks medical insurance eligibility and obtains any authorizations.
Collects copayments, coinsurances, and balances from patients.
Possesses good interdepartmental communication and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills and a "patient's first" orientation.
Willingness to travel between offices in Fort Myers and Naples, including satellite offices.
Capable of training new employees and hires.
Ability to adapt into different roles within the office when needed.
This is a full-time position. Office hours are Monday-Friday 8:00-6:00. We have multiple offices in Fort Myers and Naples, you must have reliable transportation and a willingness to travel to all locations. This is a salary position paying $55,000/year. We also provide uniforms, paid holidays, and vacation time, after a probationary period.
Education, Experience, Licensing, and Qualifications:
Required:
1+ years in a medical office
Experience with EMR (electronic medical records), medical terminology.
1+ years in managerial role
Preferred, but not required:
1+ years in a Podiatric medical office
Licensed Podiatric X-ray Technician
Multi-lingual, English/Spanish
Higher education
