Our healthcare platform architect will be responsible for designing and implementing the technology platform at Apex Health Solutions. In this role, the Platform Architect has a major impact on the technical direction of the company. More specifically, the individual will lead our efforts around:

•         Development of the Apex Data Platform
•         Integration Strategies for Apex Partners
•         Implementation of Data-Powered Analytics and Applications

Location: Houston, TX / Nashville, TN / Pittsburgh, PA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provide technical leadership on the architecture and development of the Apex platform 
• Expert-level technical design and thought-leadership of cloud resource deployment and implementation 
• Lead elaboration and discovery sessions to inform solution design, migration and modernization strategy 
• Lead architecture design, infrastructure foundations, solution structures and component design for large healthcare partnership network
• Design and implement DevOps, automation, security and compliance best practices  
• Understand a broad spectrum of technology in order to deploy detailed tactical strategy

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS 

EDUCATION

• Required: Bachelor of Computer Science, MIS or equivalent degree
• Preferred: Maser’s of Computer Science, MIS or equivalent degree (or equivalent experience)

EXPERIENCE

• 7+ years of enterprise architecture, infrastructure and/or solution delivery experience
• 3+ years delivering enterprise solutions in a cloud platform (Azure preferred)
• 3+ years working knowledge of cloud-based data resources preferred
• Experience leading development teams, coaching, and evaluating performance
• Experience supporting ETL/ELT teams 
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology
• Healthcare experience preferred
• Familiarity with networking and security components at scale in a regulated industry
• Experience developing software architectures and components 
• Experience with IaaS and PaaS capabilities on cloud platforms 
• Able to communicate and present complex issues with preciseness, assurance and confidence 
• Ability to communicate with customers, partners, and senior leaders
