The Paramedic is responsible for providing advanced emergency medical care and life support to patients. This role involves performing medical procedures, administering medications, and leading emergency response teams.

Key Responsibilities :

• Advanced Medical Care : Provide advanced medical treatment, including administering medications, performing advanced airway management, and managing cardiac emergencies.
• Patient Assessment : Conduct thorough patient assessments, interpret diagnostic findings, and make informed medical decisions.
• Medical Procedures : Perform procedures such as intravenous therapy, defibrillation, and advanced cardiac life support.
• Team Leadership : Supervise and support EMTs and other emergency personnel, ensuring effective teamwork and communication.
• Patient Transport : Ensure the safe transport of patients, providing continuous medical care and monitoring during transit.
• Documentation : Complete detailed patient care reports, documenting all treatments and interventions.
• Equipment Management : Maintain and inspect medical equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness for emergencies.
• Training and Education : Stay updated with the latest medical practices and protocols. Participate in continuing education and training programs.
• Regulatory Compliance : Adhere to all medical protocols, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications for Paramedic Position:

• Must have a NREMT-P Certification.

• Must be ACLS, PALS, CPR, BLS certified.

• CCEMT-P certification a plus.

• Must be Certified in the State of VA.

• Also should have DC and Maryland certifications or willing to obtain them in the future.

• Have knowledge operating portable ventilators.

• No experience necessary to apply for the job but experience is a plus.
