Job Title: IT Specialist

Salary: $70,000
Position Summary:
In this role, you will work closely with the Senior Manager, IT and Senior IT Specialist on implementation, and maintenance of Apkudo's internal computing needs. You will support our 200+ “Apkudoers, Apkudolorians, and Apkudites” within their ever-growing technical needs. You will ensure the secure and effective operation of our network, computer systems, applications, hardware, and software. We are a rapidly growing innovative technology company that does amazing things for our external customers, and you will help ensure that internal “customers” – our employees – are technologically prepared, secure in their use of their technologies, and ready and able to help our external customers! What you'll do:
- Configure, update, manage, and provide support for all internal IT needs and a global network of 200+ employees, including after hours on-call support.
- Assist in the implementation of IT infrastructure for new sites as the company continues to grow.
- Manage, troubleshoot, and resolve Meraki networks LAN/WAN/WLAN across the world.
- Manage and facilitate computer, mobile device, and network data security, including liaising with external vendors as needed (MacBook, Windows, iPhone, Android, Meraki Firewalls, etc.)
- Actively participate in weekly IT team meetings, bringing ideas for improvement to the table on a regular basis
- Monitor MDM systems for potential threats to business continuity, security, etc.
- Utilize MDM and RMM systems to effectively manage systems, deploy software via scripts and ensure systems receive regular patching via our patch management solution(s)
- Configure computer systems for new hires, including retrieval from Dallas office, packaging and shipping of the device(s) to their intended recipient during once weekly office visits
- Assist in maintaining list of IT managed systems within our inventory tracking solution, ensuring every device is assigned correctly and accounted for
What you'll need:
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, and/or 4+ years of IT systems support experience.
- 2+ years of experience supporting Mac, Windows, and Linux computing systems as well as Android and iOS devices.
- 1+ years of experience with MDM systems including products such as Connectwise, JAMF, and/or Google for Work.
- Basic knowledge of networking architectures and protocols (switching, VPNs, VLANs, multiple ISPs, etc.).
- Experience supporting users with products such as: Keeper, Meraki, Google Workspace, ClickUp, Connectwise, JAMF (Pro, Connect and Protect), Acronis Cloud, AWS, GitLab, BitDefender and other remote management tools.
- Proficiency in remote collaboration and communication.
- Adept at collaborating within geographically dispersed teams and effectively communicating with individuals across varying levels of technical expertise.
- Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills.
