Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team. In this position, you will assist patients, provide compassionate care. Responsibilities may include vital signs, ancillary injections, communicating with nurses and doctors. The ideal candidate is compassionate, reliable, and a personal assistant to the provider.

Responsibilities

Prepares treatment rooms for patient examinations.

Cleans treatment rooms following patient examinations.

Interviews patients to obtain their medical history.

Records patient medical history, vital statistics, and test results in patient medical files.

Performs routine screening tests, such as height and weight measurements and blood pressure checks.

Draws blood, removes sutures, changes dressings.

Perform subcutaneous and intramuscular injections.

Maintains supplies and equipment.

Cleans and sterilizes medical equipment and instruments.

Properly disposes of contaminated supplies.

Assists providers during examination by handing over instruments and materials.

Perform Therapeutic Phlebotomies per order.

Inventory of supplies and ancillaries

Scan patient documents

Enter patient information in EMR

Qualifications

High school diploma/GED

Valid Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification

First aid and CPR certified

Basic computer skills

Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines

Excellent communication and interpersonal spills

Ability to lift heaving objects

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Ability to work with limited supervision
