The In-House Production Mission The In-House Production Coordinator is responsible for producing, packaging, and maintaining all in-house apothecary products. You ensure that custom formulas and retail products are created with accuracy, consistency, and compliance. You lead the hands-on production process while supporting smooth operations and quality control. This role is the production counterpart to the Inventory/Ordering Coordinator, and together these positions keep the Apothecary running efficiently and effectively. Terms of Employment • Part-time W-2 Employee • 20–25 hrs/week (with potential growth as production scales). * occasional evening/weekend availability required • 1 year minimum commitment with a signing bonus • Compensation: $18–22/hour, depending on experience. • Benefits: • PTO/Wellness Days • Employer Match Retirement • Discount on Retail/Apothecary Items • Discounts on Classes, Programs, Courses • Continuing Education Responsibilities: Production & Product Oversight • Prepare, blend, and package custom herbal formulas and in-house product lines. • Manage daily and weekly production schedules to meet client and retail needs. • Maintain accuracy and consistency in recipes, measurements, and labelling. • Track production batches, lot numbers, and expiration dates. • Uphold compliance with all health, safety, and apothecary SOPs. • Identify and implement workflow improvements for greater efficiency. • Maintain a sattvic production environment: clean, organized, and safe. • Ensure all production areas meet sanitation and cleanliness protocols. Inventory & Supplies • Maintain a working stock of raw herbs, oils, ghee, packaging, and production supplies. • Communicate supply needs to the Inventory Coordinator for timely ordering. • Track usage of ingredients and supplies against production needs. Client & Staff Support • Fulfill custom product orders with care and accuracy. • Provide product knowledge and support for staff to share with clients. • Ensure products are consistently restocked and available in the retail space. Qualifications: Experience Minimum 1 year experience in at least one of the following: • Herbal apothecary, natural products, or body care production. • Food production, commercial kitchen, or bakery work (batching, sanitation, compliance). • Lab technician or pharmacy tech (precise measuring, labeling, documentation). • Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. • Ability to stand, walk, and move around the apothecary for extended periods of time during a shift. • Comfortable with repetitive motions such as lifting, stocking, and packaging. • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills. • Comfort with technology (Mac platform, spreadsheets, production tracking systems). • Knowledge of Ayurveda, herbs, or holistic health (preferred but not required). • Ability to work independently with precision and consistency.
