Job Description: SOAZ - Req # 8173 - AZDES - DDD – Appeals and Disputes Coordinator (Local Only / Remote or Hybrid)
This position serves as the primary point of contact for processing documents related to service reductions and coordinating all activities associated with appeals and disputes within the DES/DDD program. The role requires critical thinking to assess whether documentation supports adverse benefit changes.
Candidates have the option to work fully remote or in-office as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and review high volumes of appeals and case documents.
Conduct research and analyze information for decision-making.
Interpret and apply federal and state laws, regulations, and policies.
Communicate complex information in clear, concise written format.
Work independently while following standard operating procedures.
Provide recommendations based on document analysis.
Support DES/DDD in achieving timely, accurate decisions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum 1 year of high-volume case management experience.
Experience in reviewing and analyzing documents and information.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective verbal and written communication.
Ability to work remotely and in office as needed.
Willingness to follow training guidelines provided.
