We are currently recruiting for a Construction based firm in the Rancho Bernardo area that is seeking a Staff Accountant/Project Accountant. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial and regulatory reporting. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including billings, payables, payroll, general ledger preparation, government compliance and related audits, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities. The Senior Staff Accountant or Project Accountant will have contact with senior-level Managers as well as field staff which requires strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal Critical Qualifiers: Strong reconciliation skills, Construction work-in-process (WIP), Job Costing, Client billings and schedule of values reconciliations, knowledge of lien release procedures, strong knowledge of data and reports (advanced excel skills) , PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast pace setting.
