Mr. Appliance of Macon is seeking an eager candidate seeking a career in Appliance Repair. With new innovations and government regulations, appliance repair requires extensive training to succeed in this field. Mr. Appliance wants to help grow the next generation of Appliance Repair Service Professionals and so we have developed this Apprenticeship Position. In this position, you will learn from the ground up by developing exceptional customer service skills, technical expertise in working with electrical and mechanical systems, diagnosing and troubleshooting appliance problems, repair skills, and working with refrigerator systems. Salary advancements are available as this candidate achieves set milestones in expertise and skills. We are looking for individuals that are willing to invest in themselves and grow in this field as this will take commitment to achieve the level of expertise needed to succeed in this field.

Specific Responsibilities—responsibilities will vary as individual progresses through the apprenticeship.

· Individual will begin working in a Customer Service Representative position as they develop customer service skills and understanding the position from the customer’s perspective. While accomplishing these duties, training will begin to develop your foundation for appliance repair. Opportunities for both independent and hands on learning will be provided. There will also be opportunities to assist with jobs when a 2nd person is needed.

· When a foundation is built, individual will start working some independent jobs and continue appliance specific training. As knowledge and skills increase, they will be given more independent jobs to complete.

· As skill increases, individual will work independent jobs while developing refrigeration systems skills and commercial skills. Training opportunities will be provided to earn Master Technician Certification.

Job Requirements

· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

· Ability to learn and use mobile technology

· Communicate effectively with customers and team members

· Physically able to do the job which requires lifting at least 50 lbs, stooping, reaching and climbing.

· Ability to think outside the box and solve problems.

Preferred Skills

· Technical certificates in Mechatronics and Electronics.

· Ability to reach and decipher schematics and wiring diagrams.

· Technical certificates in Refrigeration Systems or related fields (i.e., HVAC).
