Appliance Repair Technician Trainee (Paid Training)

Location: Dallas-Fort Worth, TX Job Type: Full-time

The Opportunity: Get Paid to Learn a Trade

Are you mechanically inclined? Do you love taking things apart to see how they work? Are you looking for a career, not just another job?

Guinco Service is looking for motivated individuals to join our GCART (Guinco Certified Appliance Repair Technician) training program. You do not need professional appliance repair experience—we will teach you. We are looking for the right person: someone with grit, mechanical aptitude, and a passion for helping people.

    About Guinco Service

Founded in 1997, Guinco Service is a premier, family-owned appliance repair company. We are an exclusive Factory Certified Care provider for Whirlpool Corporation (Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana). Our motto is "Let our family help yours," and that starts with investing in our team.

    The GCART Training Program

We don't throw you to the wolves. Our proprietary training program is designed to take you from "Green" to "Full-Line Technician" through a structured Crawl, Walk, Run methodology:

Classroom Learning: Learn the theory of electricity, thermodynamics, and diagnostics in a supportive environment.

Mentorship: Ride along with our top Senior Technicians to see how the job is done in the real world.

Hands-On Practice: Tear down and rebuild machines in our training facility before you ever touch a customer’s appliance.

Graduation: Upon completion, you will be assigned your own route, company vehicle, and transitioned into our lucrative commission structure.

Earn While You Learn: This is a W-2 position. You earn a competitive hourly wage from Day 1 of training.

No Student Debt: Unlike trade schools, we pay you to learn the skills.

Lucrative Career Path: Graduates of our program transition from hourly training pay to performance-based commission, where earning potential grows significantly based on your efficiency.

Support System: You will have a dedicated Technical Manager and direct access to real-time support. You are never alone on a job.

    Exceptional Benefits

Health & Wellness: Health, Dental, & Vision (50% employer paid), plus HSA with company contributions.

Financial Future: 401(k) with company match.

Family First: Paid Maternity & Paternity Leave, PTO, Holiday Pay, and Bereavement Leave.

Tools & Tech: Company vehicle (gas/maintenance covered), iPad, and uniform provided. Tool assistance programs available for new technicians.

    Responsibilities

Learn: Actively participate in all classroom and field training sessions.

Assist: Support Senior Technicians during in-home repairs (lifting, tool management, disassembly).

Drive: Operate a company vehicle safely and responsibly.

Engage: Provide professional, empathetic customer service ("The Guinco Way").

Grow: Master the diagnostics of refrigeration, laundry, cooking, and cleaning appliances.

    What We Are Looking For

Mechanical Aptitude: You don't need professional experience, but you should be "handy." (e.g., You work on your own car, build computers, fix HVAC, or have construction/military experience).

Grit & Reliability: The first two years of this trade are challenging. We need resilient problem-solvers who show up on time and don't give up when a diagnosis gets tough.

Customer Focus: You must be comfortable entering customer homes and communicating clearly.

    Requirements:

Valid Driver’s License with a clean record.

Ability to lift/maneuver 50 lbs and occasionally up to 125 lbs.

Willingness to pass a background check and drug screen.

    Basic computer/iPad proficiency.
