    About the Role:

    Aquila is seeking a Application Engineer/Administrator to join our team in supporting one of the country’s premier defense research organizations. We are seeking a highly skilled Application Engineer/Administrator to manage, deploy, and maintain a suite of engineering and development tools critical to our mission. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with several of the following applications and the ability to collaborate closely with engineering teams to support onboarding and day-to-day operations.

    There are a few requirements for the position:

    • Must be a U.S Citizen- Authorized to Work in the US \- Must have an Active Secret Clearance Top Secret Clearance is preferred (Green Cards / Visas DO NOT qualify)
    • Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation and maintain a personal security clearance. (Aquila would sponsor you for the security clearance.)
    • Must be within 100 miles from Cambridge, Massachusetts.

    Required:

    • Active Secret Clearance (Top Secret preferred).
    • Hands-on experience managing and supporting at least a few of the following tools: GitLab, IBM DOORS, Mathematica, Ansys, IRIS, NoMagic Teamwork Cloud, Anchore, Nexus.
    • Proven ability to deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise applications in secure environments.
    • Strong understanding of Linux/Windows server environments and networking fundamentals.
    What You Will Bring: Experience with the following:
    • Application Management & Deployment
    • Install, configure, and maintain engineering and development applications, including:
    • GitLab
    • IBM DOORS
    • Mathematica
    • Ansys
    • IRIS
    • NoMagic Teamwork Cloud
    • Anchore
    • Nexus Repository Manager
    • Support upgrades, patching, and system integrations to ensure optimal performance and security.
    • Engineering Support
    • Partner with engineering teams to onboard users, manage access controls, and provide technical guidance.
    • Troubleshoot application issues, resolve performance problems, and implement best practices.
    • Maintenance & Security
    • Perform routine system monitoring, backup, and recovery.
    • Maintain compliance with cybersecurity standards and organizational policies.
    Preferred:
    • Experience with full lifecycle application management, including upgrades and integrations.
    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud-based environments.
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with engineering and IT teams.
