    Brax Company is seeking an inside sales/application engineer with a background in the industrial/commercial/municipal pump market,

    Brax Company has been a leading systems integrator & distributor of pumps, motors, & controls system for the industrial, municipal, and commercial markets throughout Southern California since 1986. We represent a vast line of legacy pump and motor manufactures in the industry. We maintain three locations in California, Bakersfield, Ontario and San Diego which includes a full-service machine & fabrication shop, and field service crews.

    We are seeking an application engineer/inside sales with a background in the pump industry or a willingness to learn. Ideal candidates would possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong mechanical aptitude and would have the ability to excel while managing a multitude of projects and customers.

    Experience & Skills Recommended but Not Required:

    • Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent experience.
    • Understanding of pumping solutions
    • Microsoft Office Suite
    • QuickBooks
    • Basecamp

    Essential Functions:

    • Ability to handle incoming calls and email requests from customers in a timely manner
    • Responsible for daily pump quoting and ordering of pump parts
    • Assist customers with price and availability on products
    • Technical assistance with pumping equipment
    • Work towards meeting team sales goals, by manufacturer
    • Troubleshoot and size pumps
    • Selecting pumps for applications
    • Additional tasks required, as assigned by the Management Team

Brax maintains a sales and engineering staff, and a full service machine shop/repair facility in San Diego with experienced field technicians to offer all phases of service and repair. We are committed to helping all customers with a consultation to help implement preventative maintenance programs to create the highest operating efficiencies, and to follow through with the most cost effective repairs to minimize system operational costs.
    Brax Company is interested in any individuals interested in working in the mechanical trades.
    Any experience is welcome, although it is not necessarily required, as we are willing to train anyone interested.
    Applicants must possess a current California Drivers License, and have a clean driving record.
