Application & Systems Support Engineer (Level III)
Location: Roseland, NJ (Onsite)
Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $65,000 – $75,000 base + bonus potential
The Opportunity
We are partnering with a well-established, growth-oriented law firm seeking an experienced Application & Systems Support Engineer (Level III) to join their IT team in Roseland, NJ.

You will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of the firm’s technology environment while directly supporting internal users across multiple offices and remote settings.

What You’ll Do
- Provide high-quality technical support via phone, email, and in-person interactions
- Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and application issues using structured diagnostic approaches
- Deliver both remote and on-site support to end users across the organization
- Set up, image, and configure systems for new hires and internal teams
- Support key business applications, including Microsoft 365 and legal document management systems
- Administer Active Directory and Azure AD (Entra ID), including group policy management
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and role-based access controls
- Administer Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
- Troubleshoot network-related issues (DNS, DHCP, VPN, wireless connectivity)
- Support and maintain print servers and enterprise printing environments
- Manage endpoint devices, including patch deployment and system updates
- Maintain and improve IT documentation and system configurations
- Track and resolve support requests through a ticketing system while meeting SLA expectations
- Coordinate with external vendors for escalations and issue resolution
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows through automation and new technologies
- Assist with system upgrades, infrastructure improvements, and new technology rollouts
- Support security initiatives, including vulnerability remediation and best practices implementation
- Travel to other office locations as needed for on-site support
- Participate in on-call support rotation (nights/weekends as needed)
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or infrastructure support
- Strong experience with Windows environments, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365
- Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 collaboration tools
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, wireless)
- Experience managing endpoint devices and patch management systems
- Familiarity with enterprise printing environments and print server management
- Experience with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python, or similar)
- Understanding of identity management, endpoint security, and IT best practices
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to support non-technical users
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- Relevant certifications (Network+, Security+, Microsoft certifications, CCNA, etc.)
Compensation & Benefits
